Wilson will return for the upcoming Insidious 5, which will pick up 10 years after the events of Insidious: The Last Key. Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne star as a hapless couple who move into their new home and suddenly find their son becoming a vessel for the spirits trapped there. Insidious is another case of a familiar sub-genre (in this case the haunted house movie) being reinvigorated through tight plotting and clever execution. Not only is Netflix home to The Conjuring, it also has the horror film without which that blockbuster franchise wouldn't exist. It's a believable, terrifying concept that's equally believable and terrifying in its execution the pacing is methodical, the seemingly simple direction complements the ordinary nature of the premise, and the couple (played by Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman) makes rational (or at least understandable) decisions in moments of panic. The Strangers is simple yet effective horror: three masked strangers stalk and taunt a couple through the night at a secluded country home.
